BETTERING THE LIVES OF OUR RHODE ISLAND LGBTQIA+ MEMBERS

Project Fearless is dedicated to finding therapists and clinical professionals to help those in need overcome challenges, while developing a "FEARLESS" mentality for our community. Project Fearless is community funded and in return its proceeds go to bettering the lives of our Rhode Island LGBTQIA+ members through educational, empowering events and financial support.

SUPPORTING LOCAL SINGLE MOTHERS

Tink Knit is a Brown University & RISD student-run nonprofit that enables low-income single mothers in Rhode Island to make a supplemental income through knitting. They provide the single mothers part-time income at home while taking care of their kids, and empower them to develop sustainable skills with the ultimate goal of becoming financially independent.

SUPPORT AND ADVOCACY FOR SEXUAL ABUSE SURVIVORS

The  mission at Day One is to reduce the prevalence of sexual abuse and violence as well as to support and advocate for those affected by it. Day One's vision is to create a community that is free of sexual abuse and violence. This is done through leadership and action that is responsive to the needs of the community.

REFUGEE SUPPORT AND EDUCATION

Women’s Refugee Care (WRC) is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization providing services and support to refugee families from the Great Lakes Region of Africa (Congo, Burundi and Rwanda) - referred to as ECGLC - who reside in Rhode Island.  Based on the belief that strong and informed women and mothers promote healthy and productive families and communities, WRC has a special focus on women, girls and promoting gender equality.

FEEDING OUR HUNGRY CHILDREN

The Backpackers program responds directly to student hunger by providing students throughout the district with a bag of food for the weekend, when school breakfasts and lunches are not available.
